About the Author
Werner H. Kraus retired at age 48 from his Personal Injury Legal Consulting business in order to devote his time to fulfill a lifelong dream of sailing around the world and to satisfy his passion for travel.
He is happily married to his cruising partner that he met, while single-handing his cutter, “Colombine”, in Tonga. After ten years of full-time cruising they did a stint of traveling the US, Canada and Mexico in their R/V for three years.
They currently divide their time between cruising “Colombine” in the Pacific North-West in the summer and spending the rest of the time in Southern Arizona, playing tennis every day and traveling by more conventional means. Including many cruise-ship tours in the Caribbean, the Mexican Riviera, around South America and in China. They have visited a good part of the world and plan to continue to look “Beyond the Horizon”.
Eventually they hope to return to their home in Hawaii and lead a more laid-back lifestyle, perhaps to host his two daughters and their families, including 5 grand children and 1 ½ great-grandchildren, there.
